  • I learned my lesson to look over my shoulder when I was close to hitting another car... I didn't know about it until I went to driving school.

  • I live in the UK, and when I was learning to drive, I was never taught to look over the shoulder when changing lanes.. Some people will do it, but I think most instructors don't teach it.

  • I dont shoulder check i usually just lean into the mirror, i only shoulder check when i need to merge into a right lane

  • What if it wasn't clear :-/

  • you have to do a shoulder check if you want to avoid an accident. There is a 'blind spot' which can only be seen if the driver does a shoulder check. It is usually when the car in the next lane is very close to you.

  • also do not reduce your speed when changing lanes

  • HOW LONG I NEED TO SIGNAL TO MAKE 7 LANE CHANGE?

I GO NOW, GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY ELSE

Yes! I didn't headcheck properly once and almost had a collision on the freeway. I'm still a learner but I am usually very cautious. That one mistake could have ended very badly. I'll never forget that again!
