I'll admit it. Rob bourdon isn't the best drummer in the world. He is fucking solid as hell though. He is my favorite drummer of all time. I learned my metal style from this guy and linkin park. Linkin park opened me up to the heavier genres. I got into SOAD after I heard linkin park. Then I got into iron maiden. Then came slayer, metallica, megadeth, and anthrax. then came cannibal corpse, death, etc. I owe linkin park to opening me up to so much music. Thanks guys. Thanks rob too.

Not always. Avenged Sevenfold fall more on the Punk side than the Metal side (on City Of Evil), so they don't use the growled vocals.

oh yeah i heard the name napalm death quite a few times, best gridncore band in decade or something? ahha, ok i'll check em out. But can i consider city of evil heavy metal, or is that too wrong?? Because I thought the song 'beast & harlot' is like modern metal and thought it's speedy & rushy so i'd add heavy, yeah, and i see difference in metallica's.

City Of Evil is pretty metalcore...but Grindcore is all about aggression, which comes from the roots of Hardcore Punk in the genre. It isn't supposed to be anything too special, but the lyrics are always political and intelligent, and the anger is expressed through the music. Listen to some songs off of the album "World Downfall" by Terrorizer. It's a great example of Grindcore. Also, check out Napalm Death's "Scum".
