The Greatest Gift of All
[ A Jemi Christmas OneShot]

Demi pulled off Joe's beard, revealing his beautiful pearly whites. "Hey there, handsome." She smiled kissing those delicious lips of his. He wrapped his arms around her body, eliminating the space between him and her pregnant belly. "Ewwwww," Sara, their 5 year old daughter groaned at the sight of them practically devouring eachother's faces. They pulled away and smiled at Sara. She was so naive and innocent. Demi looked around at the room full of friends and family. There was Selena and Nick and the new born baby, Taylor and Lucas, admiring Taylor's brand new ring, Liam and Miley kissing under the mistle toe, and Kevin and Danielle trying to round up the twins. She smiled at how wonderfully happy every one was. She loved this time of year. Christmas made things magical. Soon enough, their annual Christmas party was over. Sara jumped and down with excitement as the happy little family sat down next to the tree. "Here you go, sweetie" Joe said as he handed her one box. She'd open and smile and then Demi'd take a picture and then they'd repeat. Both Joe and Demi could tell Sara was upset when she sped through her presents, for a huge from was plastered on her face. Joe sighed as he too became upset. "Sara, let's get you up to bed" Demi said picking her up. She was hardly able to carry her, with the baby in all, but still, she trudged up the stairs, her daughter in hand. Demi returned soon with a relieved smile on her face, "She fell right asleep. The party wore her out."..Joe frowned, "I think it was the lack of presents." "Aww, baby." Demi comforted him as she sat down, rubbing his shoulders. "We did the best we could." .... "I know," he sighed.."I just wish we could've done better," He paused,"I couldn't even afford anything for you." .... She smiled, as the lights glistened in her eyes, "Baby.." Her smile widened, "You are the best gift of all." She embraced his lips with her's and that was that.

Readers - the moral of the story is that Christmas is not about what you have under the tree and it's not about how much you get. It's about the people you have in your life. For those are the greatest gifts of all.
