@WolfgangHolzmann iv hear in french shore down south of bay of fundy in clair... nice beaches too, just gotta watch out for acadians lol

@joshrad123 actually, the water is usually good all the way into September in many cases, but if you live more south, it'll be unbearable for you, we've adapted :P

@WolfgangHolzmann I'd look around the south shore of NS, Yarmouth and Halifax are the places to look.

@dylancohen10 yeah, hurricane Earl made perfect waves for surfing in the digby area, from what I heard.

Anyone ever have any trouble with those huge rocks? I'd like to learn how to surf and was told N.S. is great (I'm from PEI) but those rocks look sketchy. Any places with good waves and a beach? haha

im coming up to nova scotia in late august for vacation and i have always wanted to try surfing. can you surf in august? does anyone know the best place to go? thanks

From Cape Breton to Cape Sable there are surf spots all along the coast with fall hurricanes bringing the best surf (usually)

I think it would be much the same. I don't surf, just live near the ocean and photograph everything and everyone thrumyleanse. Barb
