"Leaders for Our Nation" is a new anthem for the United States Military Academy at West Point. The song was written by Alan Salisbury, USMA 1958, inspired by the words of GEN Douglas MacArthur in his famous "Duty, Honor, Country" speech as part of his farewell to the Corps of Cadets on May 12, 1962: "The Long Gray Line has never failed us. Were you to do so, a million ghosts in olive drab, in brown khaki, in blue and gray would rise from their white crosses, thundering those magic words, 'Duty, Honor, Country.'" This multi-media rendition is performed by the Fairfax Jubil-Aires under the direction of Tom Meier, who also did the arrangement. (Additional info at www.west-point.org/leaders-song)

Thanks so much for your suggestion. West Point is the greatest soldier academy in the world. General Douglas Mac Arthur graduated as the number one in the class!

I know it's not the entire speech so why would I ask if it was? It's a small part of it.

Perhaps your question was, "Is The Original Speech Available In Its Entirety"?
