  • Rule Britannia, not Oh Britannia!

  • One person say's it's O Brittania, the other says it's hail Brittania, and yet another says it's "Rule" Brittania. When anyone over there figures it out for sure, tell someone that gives a sh*t, I'm just a harp player...and I can actually PLAY your little jingle. (Amy Winehouse RULES!) NTJ

  • It is Rule Brittania for sure because it is derived from the peom "Rule Britannia" by James Thomson. Wikipedia or google it. And you must give a sh*t because if you didn't then you wouldn't have replied to the previous comment! :-) Hail Britannia and o Britannia are just sayings i think although i'm not sure. I like your country and your playing btw! Maybe you could try "God Save the Queen" next!

  • Everybody that has corrected me is from there (across the pond.) Anyway, that's besides the point. Thank you for your kind words, it makes me regret my vulgarity. I would love to try "God save the Queen," How does it go? Maybe I'll "youtube" it. NTJ

  • HEY! All you guys that don't know, I restore chimneys professionally...i.e, thechimneywright. Sometimes I forget to change identities. NTJ

  • I've already covered that song, obviously. It seems to also be our "My Country Tis' of Thee." I'm to understand also that our national anthem was fashioned after an old British drinking song. WE are YOU, man, we're just over here now. We're Englands mischevious wayward children;) NTJ

  • i love playing that on the harmonica. i can't put down the harmonica. it's so addicting

  • To be exact, this is the chorus from Rule Britannia, which is a significantly longer piece. There are good traditional versions up on Youtube. There is a song called Hail Britannia that is very different. I too had the titles mixed up till I had to research it myself when putting up my "hands free" harmonica video just yesterday. Check my channel, if you wish!

  • what are the notes for it?

  • same notes as... my country tis of thee..
