Great job, 5 stars - please make more. Your videos should be required viewing for all Americans, especially in an election year. People need this type of unbiased, factual information. As an engineer in the power industry, I see first-hand the distorted views people have of the role of oil, renewables, coal, etc. in our economy. Your videos, true to their title, certainly add much needed clarity.

Our video will show that biofuels cannot solve our oil crisis. Importing from Brazil can be done if Brazil udertakes a massive increase in sugarcane production. If they do increase ethanol output China, India and other countries will buy it as well as the US, so there is no guarantee we will get enough to run our cars.
Our biofuels video will be published in the next week or two.

Who is saying that the price of oil will be reduced by increasing reliance on solar and wind energy? The goal is to create an infrastructure for energy (yes, that includes transportation -- with electric cars and electrified mass transit as a long-term solution) that doesn't *need* oil. Or at least not to the extent that we need it currently. It is not going to be cheap to get people out of their cars or at least into electric cars, but it is necessary and is long overdue.

Realtycaptain,
To do what Brazil did would be foolish. We would lose large amounts of our agricultural areas to the production of biofuels which would not leave our nation any better off. The energy required to make biofuels compared to the end efficiency of the bio-fuel does not result in a product that is worth the wasted energy. Brazil's bio-fuels might be one of the most efficient, but the entire process is not beneficial. In general, focusing on bio-fuels is not a worth while endeavor.

Thanks.
We will address biofuels in our next presentation.
Later we will report on Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles that have the potential to help reduce our oil usage substantially.

Brazil is now energy and yes oil independent.........But the US auto makers decided to make cars larger and thier lobbies kept Americans from becoming energy independent.
In summary your facts may be very accurate but it offers no way for America to kick the Automakers and Oil cartels in Texas.
I wish I could offer a better solution but I can only suggest what has worked....We should show daily what Brazil did....over and over.

They even removed all the vehicles by force from the people who had been using them.
I would like to see an effort to expose the venture between oil and auto, that keeps Americans focused on oil/cars. We got the same notice Brazil did 30+ years ago concerning oil dependence.
Thank you.
I agree, we need large numbers of people to begin to understand the misleading information touted by the media politicians.
I hope you will tell others about these videos.
I will be happy to answer questions from people who have questions about what they have read and heard.

I have been in Europe for the past few weeks and am just now catching up on replying to emails etc.
I will be working on the next energy clarity video shortly. Bio fuels, natural gas and electric vehicles will be covered in due course.
Thanks for your comments.

TS August,
I think you dismiss the electric car to easily. Decades is way over stating. We have electric cars today that can be used in lieu of gas for short range driving. It was up and running in California before GM killed it with huge bribes to the agency overseeing its enforcement. (see next)

We have run computer projections based on the growth of PHEV's. That is why we say decades.
The only pure EV's on the market cost about $100,000. Even the PHEV may cost too much for the average person. When you read our presentation on PHEV's let me know what you think.
Many thanks,
