Glyphs

Prime - Mindflay, shadow word : pain, and shadow word: death. SW:D hits like a truck sub 25% so being able to use it twice in a row helps your dps.

Dispersion glyph is not worth it. You should be fine if you use shadowfiend, archangel and shadow word death on cooldown.

Majors - none of the major glyphs provide dps increases however dispel and mass dispel do provide some utility along with the pyshic horror is decent on fights like Cho'gall.

Addons

Quartz - Casting bar, shows the ticks of mindflay and when to recast
Tidy Plates - Name plate mod allows for tracking dots across multiple targets.


The Rotation

DPS Cooldowns - Shadowfiend, Archangel
DoTs - Vampiric Touch, Devouring Plague, Shadow word: Pain
Nuke - Mindblast
Filler - Mindflay
Execute - Shadow word death (sub 25%)
Quick Burst - Mindspike x 2 followed by mindblast

AoE for 3 or more mobs = Mindsear on tank
AoE less than or equal to 3 mobs = VT & SWP on all mobs, + devouring plague on kill target then normal rotation.

Stat Priority
1) Hit rating - to 1741 or as close as you can get it without going under. aka 17%
- taking spirit pieces isn't bad here since we're in the lower tiers and spirit haste is typically bis since it's hard to find hit haste.
2) Int - straight conversion to spellpowah!
3) Haste - adds ticks to your dots and makes your mindflay channel quicker, more mindflays = more damage and more shadow fiend!
4) Crit / Mastery - really a toss up from what I've heard on the sim values I tend to lean towards crit but that's just me


Gems
Meta - Burning Chaotic Shadowspirit int + 3% crit damage is the best gem here.
All other sockets unless 20 int or better bonus
Brilliant Inferno Ruby (40 Int)

if you do have a great bonus then the following generally applies
-Yellow - Reckless (20 int 20 haste)
-Blue - Purified (20 int 20 spirit)

@Wowfanatic119 Quartz, It's a cast bar mod that shows a red area depending on your latency which shows when you can start casting another spell without cancelling the current one. In addition it also shows you when the ticks of mindflay occur. You should be able to find it at curse(dot)com I believe there is also a link in the in the description.

How much dps were you getting here?

What about mind spike? ( If I'm recalling the right name to the move...you get it at 82-83) Does it not matter in a fight? I've been using it for spike dmg, hots, then mind blasting when I get an insta cast. It's a mana drain but if you manage your evangelism and shadowfend it keeps you up. I'm just wondering if I'm doing anything right or not xD. Thanks for uploading doll.

Most of your rotation is correct, but a few pointers should be added that can make a notable difference.

1. Use Mind Blast first time to get the mastery proc, than dont use it again until you stack 3 shadow orbs, its worth the waiting, and would increase the damage of Mind Blast by almost 50% more.

2. Dont wait until your low on mana to use Shadow Fiend, i usually use it after i pop Archangel and get 5 stacks of Evilangelism again, which than i pop my cds and go full burst.

It's so you can pot twice during a fight, 2 Pots >1 Pot

Don't MB on cd, you wait for at least one orb @ the beginning to get ES up asap. After that never MB under 2 orbs unless ES needs to be refreshed.

Clipping VT&DP is a good thing now.

Shadow fiend is a dps tool.
