She's obviously reading a cue card. Geez...at least speak from the heart without a script. Mumbelcore gives her hope that she can make a crap film and feel like she made something of value. By definition mumblecore is mundane. Why don't you just fim your life. Maybe someone will put it on the Sundance channel.

I like how she talks about how Mumblecore is the way to make movies - then uses none of the tenets of Mumblecore in the making of this video.

and i agree with you that field and mckee can hold you back... mostly because they encourage you to procrastinate about writing your script because you're busy checking it for adherence to rules.
i've only seen mutual appreciation and i think it actually does follow most of their rules... message me if you want to talk about that cause there are not many characters left i'm almost over the limit...
