  • While they still have petals on them, I like to remmove some of the seeds to form a smiley face on them (two spots for eyes and a curved line for a smile). Just silly and fun.

  • this is just awesome. i didnt know they grew like that. how long of a warm season does it require to fully grow? id be interested in trying to grow some at my house next season.

  • Great getting the kids involved, Donna. I'm wondering if the seeds would come out better if u scraped them with a spoon? That way you could scrape them really hard and they would pop out better and you would not have to use gloves. Just a thought. Those look good to eat, though..I think I would eat them rather than give them to the birds, LOL.

  • @Rezist01 Ok..you got me at "cold winter night...roasted" I can smell them now!. The next batch is going into food storage for a snowy night this January.....:) :)
