Just before 6:30pm on December 12, 2011, units from the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, the Level Fire Company, the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, the Abingdon Fire Company and the Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company & the Aberdeen Proving Ground Fire Department in Harford County; as well as the Long Green Volunteer Fire Company and the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company from Baltimore County responded to a house on fire in the 2400 block of Bluefield Circle, Joppa, Maryland, Harford County. Crews arrived to find an approximately 4400 square foot, single family, occupied dwelling, fully involved with fire. Lack of fire hydrants made extinguishing the fire difficult. Extra tankers were requested and "shuttled" water from a hydrant next to the new McDonalds at Mountain & Belair Roads.
