Netting is a common practice to keep birds out of a vineyard. In this video Winemaker's Journal host Craig Justice shows how one person can net grape vines using "protruded nets" instead of mesh nets. (We have found mesh nets easier to use.) Remember to leave at least 12 leaves per shoot to allow continued photosynthesis.
