A run through as the band loosened up, Alan DeCarlo, former member of Madura, plays a little Johnny B. Goode. The documentary, still in production should be finished sometime this year.

  • Addison Al, we have always been there for you, brother. We've hung on every groove note you produced. Please, please come back with more. Anyone out there, please support this guy and bring him to the forefront where he belongs.

  • Being from LaGrange.....I was lucky enough to see and hear Bangor Flying Circus live and Madura live.......

I'm a big fan of Al DeCarlo....I haven't heard anyone then or now that's as original or intense on guitar...Did I mention he writes great songs.... I'm happy to hear this vid since he dropped out of sight for 35 or so years.. He did pick me up in his cab once and I

was reluctent to mention my fanhood... Get out and play more....I'll come to hear you.

  • NO, it's not, bohd. That's Bob Blum on keys.

  • Al is such a great musician.... I've always loved his singing... his guitar is an

extension of his voice..... his tone is just great... in the 70's I believe I remember

he had 2 super reverbs stacked with maybe a bosstone....I'd love to hear him live

    again....

  • I had great fun with Al the Hawk and Schiffour during the Bangor days.

Glad to see he is still so good. I'd love to hear him do "My Girl' again.

    Dugie

  • Still playing????????????

  • I'm glad to find this here. The original recording got airplay in Memphis, but not as much as on my stereo. This sounds GREAT!

  • Love you Al !, I used to go see you guys at the Mother Duck on North Ave!

  • @jr1954able

Thank you very much for this. Interesting to hear about Al and Hawk may be playing

    and record together again.

Lots of fans have hoped for this, and asked if there could be any reunion at the Madura

    board at madura.bangorflyingcircusdotcom

Daniel Meza are still working with the documentary. Something to look very much foward to

  • Addison Al is a good friend of mine. I asked him if that was hawk playing he said no. Al is going to visit hawk they are still friends and maybe they will record something later on down the road. He would not say but you never no. I showed him all your posts he liked TheBeaugraham post because he was the last one chosen by Chicago to replace Terry Kath. Dude how cool is that. He said this on June1,2011. GOD BLESS AL DE CARLO ps he likes all the posts.

  • This is one Rock trio that gets overlooked. Man these guys were good are good i should say. Madura were signed to Columbia Records i cant remember if they were produced by James Guercio or not. Their first album was a double album lots of good Jazzy rock with Hammond Organ. The vocalist Alan Decarlo would have been a good replacement for the late Terry Kath in 1978.
