Otis traction elevators at the Wellington Square at Citi Plaza in downtown London, Ontario. This would have been where the old Eatons store was. Now, I'm thinking these are new elevators and not the old ones modernized because as I remember and I may be wrong, the old elevators faced the opposite direction. Also, they were old, they had sundial floor indicators on the outside. Leads me to believe the originals were completely ripped out and replaced when they gutted and renovated the building. Again, I'm only going by my memory from about 15 years ago.
Hmm... interesting. I have vague memories of these elevators too. I know the Eaton's store opened around 1960, and I remember Otis pre-lexan buttons. Looked like an old elevating license tag too.
