'Nezha Conquers the Dragon King'
By Shanghai Animation Film Studio

Multiple award winning film most notably 'Best Animated Feature' in the 1980 Hundred Flowers Award in China. The production of animation was suspended for almost 10 years during the Cultural Revolution.

This film is based on the chinese mythology of a deity warrior boy Nezha, who in this story commited suicide in defense of his people after the tyrannous Dragon King (together with his 3 brothers) seek revenge when Nezha killed his son (because he ate little children by the beaches). Nezha was then revived by his deity master from lotus flowers and roots, his new divinity being able to perform special abilities such as having 3 heads and 6 arms

I added english subtitles for this scene!

  • Wow, is this what the original score was? I've only ever seen the dubbed cos I was born in the UK. I'd love to see the whole movie in sub although I'm happy to watch the movie in dub for now though.

  • yes this is the original version! the bbc dub is far inferior with its fake chinglish going on, the original china dvd release has english subs available, it is highly recommended!

  • is it possible if u upload the whole movie? i've been searching this EVERYWHERE! all i could find on youtube is the dumbed one.

  • i'm sorry but I can only rip the dvd for only 5 mins (it's a trial program)!

  • Anyone else still think of Nezha as a girl? I know, in the real legend Nezha is a boy (I think) but when I was a little girl I always wanted to be either Nezha or the Disney Mulan and I can't dislodge the thought now. Besides, even if Nezha's supposed to be a boy, we know from that ridiculous one-sided red unitard she used to wear that she's missing some equipment.

  • Thanks so much for uploading this! Nezha, the Sun Wukong cartoons, and Da Tou Er Zi , Xiao Tou Ba Ba (Big-Headed Dad, Little-Headed Son...anyone remember these guys?) were practically my childhood growing up half-Chinese in Memphis. I too cried when Nezha committed suicide.

  • Yes I remember this!!! And also the ba1 bai3 bian1 zi! I had it in mandarin in video tape

  • Yes I remember this!!! And also the ba1 bai3 bian1 zi

  • Oh my god!! I saw the anime when I was a child (I have a video tape) but it's not the same soundtrack (in french)

I like both even if I prefer the french one since it is the one of my memories!

I remember I used to cry when Nezha committed suicide!
