Thanks Fred, & thanks to all the brave people fighting for human rights & environment in Rossport, Nigeria, & the whole world.
-
Thank you Fred your creativity will help to expose the truth of the Irish government corruption selling out the people to Multinationals and allowing private mercenaries to abuse Irish citizens with impunity.

it's so hard to stomach whta is happening at rossport, am writing a song too, with hope to raise awareness. unfortunately So many irish people are afraid of the protesters and are blind to the bigger picture, i pray for awareness and compassion to overcome the fear. Freedom for Rossport and gratitude to our protestors. Thank you

The arrest and imprisonment or fining of Shell2Sea protestors continues unabated: recent sentences are:
Pat O Donnell sentenced to 3 months and 4 mths consecutive. Niall from the Camp got 240 hours community service. Martin McDonnell got 4 months suspended for 2 years with a bond to keep the peace.Tony King and Kevin Moran each got a fine of €500.

Appalling to learn that protestor Maura Harrrington has been sentenced to nine months in jail and that Irish police have said there will be no further investigation of the sinking of the boat by persons unknown as mentioned in the song.

Someone from the Shell-to-Sea campaign asked me about this in Galway today at the huge anti-government rally: yes, anyone who wishes to sing this song can do so, just give's the ould' mention. - Fred.

The Rossport folk are up against an oil company as big as a small country. The men in balaclavas boarding a little boat while the owners were on it and holing it is true; leaving the hospital the following day, the boat-owners, who'd almost drowned, were met . . . . with the police! Naturally, the men who'd sunk their vessel were never found. Two ships of the Irish Navy were called in to stand off the Shell facilities to 'protect' it against protestors. Irish war-ships facing Irish people.

Many thanks, folks. I'm hardly the only one, God knows, but thanks all the same. It would be nice to get this recorded properly. Anyone out there offering a studio for an hour or so?
