This would be an catastorphe for the dolphins other marine life, and the marine enviroment if this project was to go through.
We must do all we can to prevent the government from taking back their promise of keeping this area safe.
We must prevent this oil exploration from proceeding.Protect Our Dolphins.,Extinction is forever!

This ludicrous idea must be stopped. These dolphins are living on a knife edge already. Well done WDCS - every success!

There are approximately 130 Bottlenose dolphins in this population (a precise count is difficult due to births, deaths and migratory individuals). These dolphins are unique - much larger than "regular" Bottlenose dolphins and with an extra layer of blubber to protect them against the cold North Sea.

The UK government has announced that is likely to grant an oil exploration license inside the Moray Firth Special Area of Conservation (SAC). If granted, this could not only spell disaster for the Moray Firth dolphins, but could lead to other SACs being exploited in a similar manner. We must prevent this from happening, or valuable bio-diversity will be lost. Extinction is forever.
