a baby's buck first defense is to stay still and dont move so they wont get notice. also some predator will leave it alone if it doesn't run. this works against beginners but not adults

Whoops..was only halfway through the viseo when I sent my previous post...then the mother appears from behind and it made a lot more sense!!

Was the bushbuck already injured? Can't imagine why it wouldn't have tried to run away at the start if it wasn't hurt in some way...
