Over at http://summitbechtelreserve.org The Boy Scouts Of America is building The Summit, and your help is required.
Required, that is, if you're an active Scout.
Because the thing is, there are plenty of Scouters who are more than happy to sound off on what the Summit should look like. Should feel like. They want to tell us what The Summit experience should be.
And that's great; there are some fantastic ideas out there from the, um, older generation.
But we want to hear it from you.
Just because you're young doesn't mean you can't have a voice in The Summit. In fact, we're thinking just the opposite. We want you to Shape The Summit.
Here's what the Summit is:
-The new home of the national Scout jamboree.
-The fourth BSA high adventure base.
-The site of the 2019 World Jamboree.
What else can it be? That's where you come in, Scouts.
It starts with your vision. What do you want out of a trip to The Summit? Define the experience in your terms. We're building it for you. And your friends. And for generations of Scouts to come, the ones that are following in your footsteps.
What you know about what you like? That's what we want to build.
Ziplines? Okay. Skateparks? Can do. Whitewater rafting and climbing and mountain biking and treks through the mountains that last for days?
Got it.
