@MoralisticAthiest, According to world renown cardiologist Pim Van Lommel. He studied the subject of NDE's for over twenty years. Read his book "Consciousness Beyond Life: The Science of the Near-Death Experience." There is no brain activity in a NDE, but there is with a DMT user.

DMT does not have the same effects of near death experiences. The NDEr has a panoramic life review, meets deceased relatives and has a life transformative effect. These things are missing in the DMT trip.
