In NLP, there is an effective method to change behavior.

It's what I like to call the "rubber slap technique".

You basically want to wear a rubber band wherever you go. Now everytime you smoke a cigarette, you want to pull that rubber band as far as you can and release it so it will slap your wrist.

You want to use this technique every single time you smoke a cigarette.

Basically, you are training your brain to associate pain with smoking cigarettes.

After awhile, you will want to AVOID that pain. Thus whenever you go near a cigarette, you will be reminded of that pain and thus want to no longer have anything to do with smoking cigarettes.

For best results, try this exercise consistently for at least 21 to 30 days. That is because psychologists have found out that anythhing you do for 21 to 30 consecutive days will become a natural habit for you.

  • This is just stupid and undermines people's intelligence. People are not dogs. This reminds me of those awful electric dog collars people use to train animals. It has no credible evidence and if this did acyually work then you would be a billionaire!

  • I've a better idea - Chop of one finger for every cigerrate you smoke. That's painful and will do all associations you need. You probably will quit before you lose your 10 fingers..If you don't, then it'll be not possible to smoke anyways without your fingers..

  • I've attempted to associate pain with someone,but it's not helping. It's been almost a month or two since I started.
