Short drama UK 2009. "Franticly searching through his freshly developed prints, John is desperately searching for a picture.
For a glimmer of hope that the feeling in his gut is wrong, that last night was just like any other, that the come-down is causing this wretched feeling.
Maybe he even fixed it all last night.
Or maybe he's made things worse than ever..."

  • It’s like Mr Mackey says, “Drugs are bad, m’kay”. But when weaponised for sexual rivalry conflict, there’s never going to be a happy finish. As anti-heroes go, that prick John lacks even any of Travis Bickle’s few redeeming qualities – dark days indeed. For me, it refreshed memories of a couple of old Bunnymen songs: ‘Villiers Terrace’ and ‘Turquoise Days’.

  • “Been up to Villiers Terrace / To see what's-a-happenin' / There's people rolling 'round on the carpet / Passing 'round the medicine / Been up to Villiers Terrace / I saw what's-a-happenin' / People rolling 'round on my carpet / Biting wool and pulling string / You said people rolled on carpet, boys / But I never thought they'd do those things” ~ from ‘Villiers Terrace’, 1980 – bit.ly / VilliersTerrace
  • “Just when the thought occurs / The panic will pass / And the smell of the fields / Never lasts / Put your faith / In those crimson nights / Set sail / In those turquoise days / It's not for glory / It's not for honour / Just something someone said” ~ from ‘Turquoise Days’, 1981 – bit.ly / TurquoiseDays
  • Nice, cool narrative technique dude,
