I would like to mpore about that very large and old diesle engine were the overs on the lawer wide off or did it go such a law speed there was no need for them or like many old ones no valve cover I would like to know what that tank with brasspiping was useed did it use compresed air to start ver indteresting and what was the HP and speed??

@michel310 je me doute, en fait c'est la blague des Diésélistes qui connaissent ces vieux moteurs, où je travaille nous avons un 16 cylindres en V qui fonctionne très bien encore et il démarre à l'air comprimé sans start pilot, il date de 1975
pour ma part j'ai travaillé de 77 à 82 chez Duvant, avant que ça fusionne avec Crepelle puis Wartsila,

Comme tout bon moteurs Duvant qui se respecte, il lui faut du Start Pilot pour le démarrer
C'est un sacré bourrin, mais Les Moteurs Duvant ( Valenciennes France) en ont fabriqué de plus gros encore

Non, pas besoin de Start Pilot. Il démarre très bien, même quand la température est négative (voir Rétromobile).

Oui, il démarre à l'air comprimé (18 bar).
Il y a d'autres vidéos où on le voit en fonctionnement (beaucoup de fumée et de flammes...).
