Hello, Internet censors of China. We are Anonymous.

We have been watching, we have been listening, for years you have suppressed the voice of your own people over the Internet, for years you have tried to cover their eyes and ears. This is becoming your own undoing.

Your state media are filled with lies and deceit, but with ever increasing flow of untruths, you are only painting a clearer picture of what exactly you do not want your people to see. You are becoming complacent with your antiquated ideology, you will never truly understand and silence the democratizing power that made what Internet is today.




We see your attempts to censor the Internet are dangerous, not only to the Chinese netizens but also to everyone else in the world, and we do not like what we see. Therefore, actions against you will begin starting from the 1st of July 2009, as this is the day your censorware 'Green dam' is scheduled to be forced onto your people. This is also the day your ruling party was founded many years ago. It's only fitting that we use this day to mark a new beginning.




Internet is free. Great Firewall will fall.

Consider Anonymous not a single coherent organization. From their choice of words, they speak more like an entity derived of people's instinctual desire to be free from oppression. I don't think anonymous HAS a leader or a leading body. There may have been a founder but I believe it has turned into many unrelated individuals using "Anonymous" as a cover to express their personal desire for global freedom and much more. Shit, if I wanted to speak up or hack, I'd use "Anonymous."
