  • I think you forgot 122lbs Pacquiao destroyed the supposedly south african superstar in the making but Pacquiao took his WBA belt in his nose, his name Ledwaba remember?

  • @RainheartIsobel Actually it was the IBF belt. Not sure which context we are speaking, but if I didn't mention that belt it was probably because I was recounting the LINEAR or original 8 weight class titles Pacquiao has won. 122 is not one of the original 8 nor was that title the linear one in that division. It's been a long time since I watched this video.

  • This is really helpful, I'm a 19 years old Filipino kid living in Canada and i really love boxing. I hardly knew the greatest filipino boxers. you're really helping us out here specially us filipino kids/adults these days they only know Manny Pacquiao. thanks a lot.

  • @whatineedisbeer You are very welcome. And I did this video especially for that reason TWICE. The 1st time was in 2007 before Manny elevated his game to another level.

In regards to Pancho Villa, all one has to do is look at his record on boxrec to see how special he was, b/c he died before his 25th birthday and I have my doubts that most current boxers today will ever have that many fights their entire careers.

  • hi mr.boxinginfo i'm just curious...are you some kind of a boxing geek...it seems you know everything about boxing?

  • @errollawrence I don't know everything, only God does.

Not really. It's just hard for people to accept we actually have one of the greats living in our era. Also it all started off some baseless accusations. That's something you can't deny. Ignorant prick.

  • I would agree that manny is comparable to the greats in boxing world which include oscar dela hoya, roberto duran, sugar ray leonard, ali, etc., But while manny is superb, let's not forget other great filipino boxers who ushered the country into the world ring. With over 100 fights before dying at age 23 as a world champion, Pancho Villa inspired Filipinos to follow his footsteps. Calling him "loser" him is a great disrespect to the person.

  • i agreee with your last statement for the japanese rivalry. It was in 80s. i remember sitting on my dad's lap while watching. also thai and koreans.

  • @boxinginfo who are you? are you a filipino? how could you rate our filipino boxing heroes while you dont have a heart of being a filipino? in your conclusions about how great they are? your explanations seems to me a meer shallow barometers,, what formula do you follow to conclude who are our best boxers ever? what are the bases for being on your top 5 great boxers ever? do you know how much Elorde and Pacquioa means to promote on where our boxing status in the world today?

  • @whatineedisbeer now u can be proud and say we are not boxing followers bcoz of pacquiao, we have a long history in boxing and still we are very passionate into it...we have evolved in the sport and now we have the greatest boxer of all time...

  • Pancho Villa was champion in the age where there were only ONE belt for each weight class. EVERYONE knew who he was because of this. he was also tight with jack demspey and mickey walker. He lived and reigned in the Golden age of boxing. random fact he was one of roberto durans childhood heroes. Total fights 104 Wins 92 Wins by KO 24 Losses 8 Draws 4 and he did this all when he was only 23. This guy is an epic G. Sadly, only the great die young...

  • My only TOP 4: 1)PACQUIAO for being 8 Div. World Champ; Best Boxer of the Decade; n Greatest Asian Boxer of All Time; 2) PANCHO VILLA for being the 2nd Greatest Asian Boxer of All Time; Rank 59 by Ring Magazine as Worlds Greatest Boxers in the last 80 Yrs.3) FLASH ELORDE being Rank 79 by Ring Magazine as World's Greatest Boxers in the last 80 Yrs; longest World Jr. LW Div. Champ in Boxing history for 7 1/2 yrs. & defended it 9x. 3) DONAIRE for being 3 Div. World Champ.

  • @boxinginfo yeah its IBF my bad, i watch the BIOGRAPHY of Pacquiao his story is so inspiring, i don't know if you see it but its simply amazing how he achieve of what he achieved.

  • actually Pancho Villa wasn't 25 he was 23 when he died. He had over 100 fights by the age of 22...
