These are images of the crimes the Iranian regime has committed against its own people, after the presidential election in 2009. More than 46 million eligible voters choose between four candidates, with incumbent Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Iran's last prime minister Mir Hossein Mousavi the favourites. Interior Ministry announces Ahmadinejad's victory with almost 63 percent of vote against 34 percent for Mousavi, with turnout at 85 percent. Mousavi complains of "irregularities". Mousavi supporters clash with baton-wielding police in Tehran.

  • I suggest you look up the meaning of the word "Profanity," before you decide to make any further comments.

  • then you should remove all Bruin6082's posts despite his being your adamant supporter. lol.

  • first, you are wrong. it was in Iran and women wore head scarves.

second, it's of no importance now. it's all over. and if Moussavi really feels a need to change the dictate of religious rules he can start fighting against particular religious laws.

  • kitty if u notice in the places that had signs in english the women were not wearing their scarves that means it was in America or another english speaking country there were hundreds of protests for iran's fraudulent election all over the world

  • exactly, buddy. if you want to show yourself to the West you use english. so, the organizers were definitely expecting the WEST to intervene.

  • I'd look into an english book if I were you!:)) You really need to work on your spelling before moving on to discussing history!

  • What is ttarzann talking about anyways?! I don't think he even understands what he has written.

  • First of all, yes, the majority of people understand english in iran, if not speak it. 2nd, when you want the world to know your message, you obviously want to communicate that message in an international language like english. 3rd, many of the pictures are from demonstrations held outside of Iran.
