@68NYC2 Yes, thats true. Looking back at them now, they are sort of legendary for how they started a new trend... I've actually come to appreciate them. I still like the square ones better, though.
Sparky Anderson, manager of the Detroit Tigers appeared in a similar commerical earlier that year. The Tigers won the World Series easily.
A lot of Dolphin fans saw this commerical and hoped that it was an omen.
(Oh well, they came close, anyway.)
