Mr. Redford is a good man, a decent man, a man who has earned respect and devoted his life not only to supporting evolving artists, but protecting the treasures of a country he loves. All you nasty, angry bitter people who foment discord and hate, well you don't measure up to the soles of his shoes. Redford is a national treasure protecting all the other treasures for your kids. What a pity the waste.

@papermooner Agreed. In this country there are (unfortunately) far too many ignorant, bigoted, low-IQ haters who lash out against those who advocate progressive change. If this country does not get more educated we are in trouble.

I do agree with you Robert Redford is a national treasure. As a French citizen, i wish we had French movie stars who could be able to stand up for what they do believe and express their opinions about political and environmental issues like Robert Redford does in your country but unfortunately this is not the case or quite unusual as far as French movie stars are concerned..

Hey robertrutger, a "dike" means "an embankment for controlling or holding back the waters of the sea or a river." I guess a dike would be inherently socialist in that it protects all land-dwellers equally...but seriously? To quote my other favorite "embankment," Ellen Degeneres, "we have to stop saying hateful words to one another." The word you almost wrote is full of anger, full of hate, & has ramifications you can't even guess - for example, your post hurt me, & you've never even met me.
