Congressman Andrews Visits NEST International to discuss job growth in S. Jersey

On Friday, January 16th, 2009, Rep. Rob Andrews (D-NJ) joined Robert Almond, Sr., CEO of Negative Expense Systems Technology International (NEST International), and representatives from AC Moore to highlight the Congressmans strong support for businesses to keep their jobs local, especially during these difficult economic times. Last year, Congressman Andrews advocated on behalf of NEST International, a South Jersey based management and consulting company, to support their continued contract with AC Moore upon the arts and crafts retailers transition to new ownership. While public officials, economists, and business leaders highlight a number of remedies to the economic downturn, Rep. Andrews attributes keeping jobs local and maintaining strong and reliable relationships as a fundamental way to withstand the struggling economy.

Through this newly established relationship, NEST International and AC Moore serve as a model which illustrates that a local company with outstanding qualifications can establish a profitable and ongoing relationship that continues to grow and employ people throughout the region. In fact, AC Moore recently awarded a contract for janitorial cleanings to NEST while assisting AC Moore with their cost cutting program. Through this agreement, NEST International will be able to expand its business and create jobs, adding to its total of 80 current employees. As our country faces its highest unemployment rate in 16 years, this ongoing relationship will provide steady income for the families of those recently employed, as well as increase spending in the community that subsequently stimulates the economy. While our country faces increasing economic challenges, Congressman Andrews continues to work with companies like NEST International to take a proactive approach to keep jobs local as a instrumental way to withstand the current economic downturn.
