October 1997, UK managed to break the sound barrier on earth, using the fantastic Thrust SSC vehicule. I made this video because there was too few videos about this remarkable event on the web. (music credits: Spa 24 hours - Stephen Baysted)

Can't wait for Bloodhound to do it's thing.Mr Noble and Mr Green are the best thing since Campbell,Villa and Norris.It's great to have these pioneers in this day and age.So much better than football,xfactor and bloody big brother.

@oomblikkies Because this is a "top speed" vehicle, a complex braking system would add extra (unnecessary) weight to it. If you research into cycling in the Olympics, the bikes do not have brakes or anything... they will only slow you down ;-)
