A poem inspired by Mattie J.T. Stepanek's poem, About Me.

*Note: I changed one word to fit my current life goals.

"About Alex"

I am Alexander Franklin Sing.
A descendent of Asia.
My body has tanned skin,
Red blood, brown eyes,
Short, black hair.
I am a survivor of this world
Born with
Mohr-Majewski Syndrome and
Oral-Facial-Digital Syndrome II.
I even have a trach, an oxygen tank,
And a ventilator, too.
I choose to eat through a gastric button.
Friendly - but sometimes shy I am.
Intelligent, too.
I am always busy
Thinking about the future...
Sometimes it scares me because
Sometimes I think about Heaven
Sometimes its exciting because
Sometimes I think about becoming
An actor, a cinematographer, or a photographer.
But most of all, a great communicator.
I love my family and friends.
I love a good, fantasy book.
I love modern technology.
I love the action and the drama of...
WRESTLING.
Whomever, whatever, however I am,
I will constantly want to be loved for
Who I am,
Even if I have different capabilities
Than others.
