The www.devicecraft.com H-Bridge motor controller is shown driving a transformer.
The transformer is a 120VAC to 6VAC center tap. THe H-Bridge reverses direction every 1/120 th of a second to create a 60Hz wave. The wave can be a square, modified sine, or true sine wave.
THe transformer is driven in reverse from normal use. The output is isolated.

  • The center tap can be put at 12V & the terminal leads pulled down by only 2 transistors.
