Anne's Song - Will Ackerman Cover

My second favorite Ackerman song, after Impending Death of the Virgin Spirit. Lovingly bittersweet intro followed by a faint touch of blue-grassy dancing (or so it seems to me). While I'd like to blame my daughters' distractions for the errors (Christina is knitting beside me and Anna Maria is conducting out of sight of the camera in front of me, the truth is this is only a slightly more error filled version than average.

hello, how long did it take you to learn this song?

well, two years ago it took me several weeks to learn a simplified version (I left out the hammer ons in the second "faster part" of the song that started each phrase; then i relearned it a year later adding those in which took me a week or so; but it took months to get the playing down to a decent level with speed (even when I'm focused on guitar, i wouldn't practice more than 30 min a day; too much else happening in life!)

Thanks for this, i've literally been waiting forever to find a video of someone playing this. Its a song far beyond me but one i aim to play in the future. A few mistakes, but it was understandable considering the difficulty of the second part. Would have loved to see it on a steel string, but thats more a personal preference, plus Ackerman plays on one himself. Thanks, this meant a lot, literally one of my absolute favourite songs.
