This is a great vid showing how to disassemble, and re-assamble the analog stick on the PSP, although it is not me, It's very helpful.

I'm hoping you can answer a small question: Is the any similaraty between the PSP analog and the ps3 Sixaxis analog? I mean would a PSP analog work on a sixaxis remote control if soldered in the place of the sixaxis analog?

Well, my first question would be why you would want to do that in the first place, and that I am pretty sure that would be impossible...

Anyone having trouble watching this, watch the original video. Its in 480p: v=FGRE5s2Nx8c

As for the spring. OMG I went crazy but couldn't get it in. In the end I just took the lower piece, put the nub in it and tried to set the spring around it manually. Took 20 minutes and lots of patience and work but eventually it set perfectly and then gently put the upper piece on it and closed it.

I'm aiming to build a smaller and therefore more portable controller to use on devices using android. That being said, the standart sixaxis thumbsticks are what gives the most volume to the controller (besides the rumble engines). They are way better then the psp slim ofcourse, but Android games don't need that much accuarcy. Actually i think it's quite possible, since the other way around was already done - using a ps3 analog stick with a PSP. Thank you for the answer.
