Religious Idiocy

Nope, I sure can't. They will have to find that out on their own. I will not discuss religion in my science class. It's not welcome and I will not talk about it either. I would love to but know that it is not allowed. I give them the facts, the method by which those facts are arrived at, present the evidence, teach them to have high standards of proof and just let them figure out the lie they have been told to swallow. The best way to discover lies is for them to figure it out on their own.

Well, it's quite annoying that when I went to school, teachers still thought they were free to appeal to the religious people in the class... "God this, god that..." yet atheism carries such a stigma that it dare not be mentioned.

Out of 13 science teachers in my school, only two of us follow the rules as I described. Many of them insert god into the lectures and manage to 'give them what they want to hear'. They know they are ok because they are preaching the the choir. It needs to stop right across the globe. I know I would lose my job if I tried to reason with them to question the bullshit fed them by their parents and clergy. I like my job but also realize that god should never be discussed in science. Students do it
