@cody1800212 Yep. It's an old Lyon & Healey ladies banjo or parlor banjo. It had finger marks worn in the fretboard long before I got it. It's a keeper..

That's pretty much standard G, but might be tuned a fret or two higher, possibly in A, but A is just G, up one fret..

I just started out. was wondering what tuning you are in.. Love this tune.. wish my banjo sounded like yours... Wow what a wonderful sound... JC

Super tone. Evidently the .9mm shells do something. Is that a skin head or plastic?

I like it, rpeek. It is what it is, The Rpeek-a-phone. Good tone. Been thinking for quite a while about trying to make a tone ring like that out of a bunch of old .45 shells I've got boxed away somewhere. Anything special I need to know? Any holes drilled through the plate under the shells? Is the edge of the pie plate rolled over the rim somehow, or just sitting on top?

In this particular one I used a cymbal.. Cut the center out, notched the edges and folded it into the pot.. Soldiered the shells in place.. I've also used pie pans and brass trays.. The trick is to find one that fits.. I've made a few of these and will probably make a few more.. Can't decide if the make the sound better or worse, but I keep playin' around with the idea.. hahahaha
