Great video, I think Santelli made a difference. I think he helped to slow down the administration. They realized that ppl like Rick Santelli were not going to stop calling them out on their spending. They also knew that they were now going to be made to come up with better answers. I also think that it gave ppl confidence to know this administration was not going to railroad us without a fight. He forced more transparency,and debate. He also shined light on the hugh media problem we have.

So let me get this straight. I have taken on a 30 year fix loan, my mortgage is larger than 1/3 of my fsalary, because the prices were so high in 2005-2006. Now that the interest rates are so low I would like to refinanace. But neither the plan, nor the fact that I was responsible is hepling me refinance, and my house value is dropping despite improvement that I made to the house!!

It is just an ad hominem attack on Santelli. This is the kind of thing seen every day under the Bush Administration. The thing most interesting in the video is how confident Gibbs is that no one will read the plan. Stopping foreclosures in the short term and making all the banks, hedge funds, and traders eat every last credit default swap/naked short/credit derivative just to halt a complete collapse when Americans finally realize the Toxic assets are NEGATIVE MONEY.

LOL he came off as very arrogant which isn't a good trait for a press secretary. Seems like the Obama admin can't take criticism from the press, that's how it's appearing. I guess the love fest is over & some in the press are going to get to see how it is when you don't bow the knee.

I agree completely with you Mr. Denninger. I am 29 and have not purchased a home yet bcuz I am waiting for prices to bottom, & IMO they are nowhere close.
Why should I, someone who saves & studies the market bail out homeowners who didn't even have a down payment or good credit and bought anyway?
Craziness, we are gonna end up paying european taxes without any of the benefits.
I think it is inappropriate to offer the 8k tax credit to new home buyers bcuz buying now would be stupid.
