This operates on the same algorithm as "Original Audiovisual Synthesizer" but was made at a time when it was very inconvenient to generate the video aspect of it. It is variously called "Space Radio" or "n-synth (for entropy or numeric synthesizer)". This was built before the millenium digital music copyright controversy and the functions of it's buttons are of a discovered ambiguous nature, and marked with glyphs that vaguely abstractly represent what they do to the sound being spontaneously generated, especially how the sound bitstream would look if it was also displayed as video. A new and hundreds of times more comple version of this is in development, which was inspired by the copyright controversy, and it is known as the "Pi-Pod", because of it's purpose to be able to specifically recall unlimited sounds from the intangible memory of an artificial irrational number (which is actually NOT "Pi") without copying them. The last button failed to operate by beeping and buzzing, but otherwise would have activated a second functionality unique to this particular design which synthesizes melodies consisting of single or double tones or bell sounds. Although this one is a replica of the original prototype, a few production units were sold, which were made of "nicer" Radio Shack parts than this one.
