  • how's the catalina ash kit workin' for ya? does the hardware come with the kit?

  • @MICHELLEyeuh I really like it. Of course, there are better kits out there, but this its pretty good. All the tom mounts and stuff come with it, but no cymbal/snare/hihat stands.

  • I have two question.

    1. What drum heads are these?

    2. Does the sound of the drums in this video is the same as on live?

    Greetings!

  • The drums sound pretty much as they do in the video. I just added reverb and a little EQ to get rid of unfavourable bleeds on the mics.

The snare head is a Remo Ambassador. The tom heads are all stock Gretsch ones, actually. They've been changed now though.

  • hi-hat sounds fuckin awesome!! could you compare the sound of the hats in the video with the sound of them in natural?

  • Not exactly sure what you mean, but they sound pretty much like they do in the recording. Only a bit of reverb and some of the lower frequencies were taken out of the recording.

  • you better than that cobus! good job man!

  • Very nice job! Wish I could get that sweet hi-hat down that you are doing-

  • EXCELLENT JOB!!!... i can never get the rhythym for the high hat and ride down..its just an oddly timed cadence to me...idk..

  • you play just like him :) on par or better i say. 5 stars

  • Dude your a bad ass ..... Nice job man!!!

  • nice good fills. the simple one handed fills is what makes this song. you didnt over do it sounded great.

  • Hey... nice job. I agree with the others. You played with taste, ie: did not overplay. Please take this constructively, as I only mean to help, but we can hear hear parts where you are behind the beat. Meter is a VERY important part of drumming. I recommend that you buy and practice with a Roland RMP-3 or RMP-5 practice pad to overcome this. Best of luck!

  • @evenstevens280 thanks for the info! I really like the little tom that comes with the kit haha. It looks sweet. Thumbs up for your playing. Ive checked out some of your other vids as well!
