where do friends fit in the chart?

@ionxi an important thing that i didn't get to mention is that most topics involve more than one house. Friends are mainly in the 11th house (they are one way that we benefit from society). Secondarily they are in the 7th house (how we relate with other people), and very close friends can somewhat enter the 3rd house. Mainly the 11th a bit of the 7th and a sprinkle of the 3rd in some cases.

Your use of the sky's mandala, the directions and the principle of opposites to illuminate the house themes was brilliant! In this context, how could death be in any other house but the seventh? This was amazing Vic, such a deep, meaningful analysis of the houses which finally answered a lot of my questions over the years. :) I have one question - why is the 9th house, the house describing how our role in society effects other people - is sometimes described as showing our fortune or luck?
