They were somewhat naive and did not know
There were people in Seattle
That were girded up for battle.

Now, his honor Mayor Schell
Thought he'd died and gone to hell,
And he lost his Christmas spirit then and there.
And the King County Sheriff
Didn't care about no tariff.
And the turtles, they were flying
Through the air.

Bill Clinton as a guest in
That hotel they call the Westin.
He was wishing he was elsewhere more and more.
'Cause the teargas was a'poppin'
And he couldn't do his shoppin'
And the National Guard was standing
'Round the door.

Mrs. Albright fussed and fumed.
She was locked inside her room.
And Charlene Barchefsky muttered in the hall
'Cause the third-world delegations
From the disaffected nations
Didn't go for their agenda, not at all.


Now, folks on Puget Sound
Don't like getting kicked around.

Up on the Hill.

great job guys in '99! i was only 7 years old at the time, so i knew nothing about what was going on. i got educated at 14, and now i'm pissed as hell. MAKE TRADE FAIR. fuck the g8 they've had their way for 90 years it's someone else's turn

I was there for both days. Craziest thing I've ever seen. Stupid ass few protesters ruined the whole thing. Cops did go overboard though.
