She will get her powers back. The 'cure' was only temporary. You can tell by the ending when Magneto is playing chess with himself

that's exactly what i meant. she died metaphorically. she identified herself by that life, and her role in the mutant revolution. just imagining the trauma she felt after being stripped of all of that made the scene pretty powerful for me.
