@mxzptlx1357 Well, like I've said on my other vids etc.. Most of the BASIC silat and combatives that we train in Raw Combat is banned in any sport/competition.. It's designed to mash you! not to gain a trophy.. lol
But just adapt what you can.. good luck :-)

@yuztio I do not know who made the style first but i hear people say the opposite that Indonesia stole the style from Malaysia I have even on rare occasions people say both stole from India.I am confused.Do you know any resources that will tell the true origin of the style?

@MeQuiteFriendlyLOL silat? harimau? malaysia? are you kidding? LOL

Silat was originally from Indonesia *nod

@LaAltariel ; I can't speak for Silat or TKD ( I knew better than to study TKD when I turned 17,) but what I can say is that my wife practices and loves Wing Chun and she is a 4' 11'' Chinese girl, and she kicks butt quite well. LaAltariel, if your not shorter than 4' 11" I wouldn't worry about your height. Even if you were shorter than my wife, what does height have to do with anything?

Nusantara Martial Arts (Silat)

Would be nice if I could give a thumbs up for this vid.

Do you have more videos ?

I am impressed with this clip, looks simple makes me want to practice again. Thankyou.

@basikalmurah Yes, if TKD consists of only doing back kicks with no setup and no awareness that your kick might be jammed or that cut kicks exist.

the conclusion is silat more powerful than taekwando even silat has more deadly skill than taekwondo...

@clydez007 You want to learn Silat? It's easy. Mindanao is filled with Silat styles. They don't have Arnis there (coz that comes from Visayas & Luzon) but a lot of silat schools. Or just try to find some people from Mindanao where you're at. Maybe you'll find someone who knows this style. If you don't find anyone, try out Yaw-Yan, or Arnis' Dumog & empty hand style.
when watching these videos it makes me wonder if these moves work for short people like me.... hope someone replies or better yet post a self-defense video specially for shorties thanks ^^

the techniques look effective executed by a big guy, a smaller guy would have a harder time doing them

@llOmiell Not if he trains..
Sorry kids, but you can't learn everything off youtube.
You will have to get off your arse and train some day!
