This is a scene I shot for my directing class. The first half was all improved by the actors, up until the woman detective (Higgens) enters, which is why it's all in one shot like that.
Things you should know going in. Matthews (the lead detective)'s partner was killed while he was with Higgens, in a not-too-entirely professional manner. Macy (the guy in the hat) knows where Matthews was, but is keeping his mouth shut... for now. He meanwhile was undercover when the cop was killed. He had a chance to stop it, but didn't want to blow his cover. That's pretty much everything you need to know to get the most out of the scene.
While I appreciate the compliments, I was only responsible for the directing. The scene was provided to us by my teacher and the actor, Daniel P. Ballard, is not me. I'm Daniel W. Ballard. I know, it's weird, but awesome.
