Lawrence Roll Up Doors offers retrofit motor operators and retrofit chain/crank operators that will not only resolve operational problems with broken or worn out mechanisms on old fire doors but will also bring your old technolosgy fire door up to state-of-the-art standards. NFPA 80 requires that fire doors close at a rate of 6 to 24 inches per second. If your fire doors fail to meet that standard, retrofitting may be a solution for you. These "Easy-Reset" and "Auto-Reset" operators also make testing a simple matter that can be done quickly and inexpensively. NFPA 80 requires fire doors to be inspected and tested annually. Each annual test must result in 2 consecutive successful tests on each door. This requirment is difficult with old technology fire doors but it is a simple process with our "Easy" and "Auto" reset operators.
