Here we are on the A Train as we are about to pull into the 168th Street Station in a 10 car set of R40M's. That's right; a full train of R40M's. Usually, you will only see a single pair of R40M's in a consist on the A Train, tied in with R42's. However, there is ONE full set of R40M's, and you're seeing them. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The video was taken on September 10th, 2008.

  • no, they will be based from Coney Island. Starting next year, the G will no longer run to Queens Blvd, so it will lose access to the Jamaica Yard. that is why it will have to start relying on cars from Coney Island, R68/68As and R160s, and i highly doubt the G will get R160s. As for the A, the R40Ms come from 207th Street

  • in december 2008. it only ran for about a month before riders complained about getting hurt catching the train since the C using those cars ended up stopping at the front of the platform and left a 120 foot space in the rear. that is why it is back to R32s.
