Imagine being 13 years old and having no parents, no safe housing, no food, no medical care, and no way to go to school—and caring for younger brothers and sisters on top of that. That's everyday life for thousands of orphaned children in Mozambique who have become child head of households.
Each day, these orphans struggle to find basic necessities like food and water, and they have no one to help them. For the almost half a million children orphaned by AIDS and other causes in Mozambique, life seems hopeless—but you can help change that. One of Cross International's ministry partners, Reencontro, has been coming to the aid of orphans for years, providing food, a safe place to call home, medical care, education, and the love of Christ. But with the recent financial crisis, Reencontro faces an enormous budget shortfall.
