l just got noe and have a big problem how can l make a dvd or can l just plug it into a dvd rec let me now

You could plug it into a DVD recorder, but that's not the best option.

For the best results, you can use the included software to make a DVD sequence from the recorde video clips.

You can download & install the Windows Media Player Codec Pack (enter in Google). Then the MP4 files are supported in Media PLayer

The HD1010 records in progressive mode and can record with 300 fps for slow-motion playback. Also there's face recognition for both foto and film.

This has quickly become one of my favorite cameras. I got it so I'd have something with decent optical zoom on me all the time. I was amazed at the picture quality for the price. This video showed me a few features I haven't even used yet and I've had the camera for at least a year and have used it quite a bit.

@MumblinBerk I found editing footage from this on CS4 very quick and simple. I did some quick turn around edits straight from the card.

I hear (all over the place) that people are having a lot of trouble trying to edit the video files from the HD1010 with any of the current popular editors...

Vegas Sutdio Platinum, Magix Pro, Windows Movie Maker, Pinnacle Studio, CS4, etc..

Does the HD1010 not include the required CODECs for editing / encoding it's file formats?

We love this camcorder.....The Sanyo Xacti HD 1010 gives a wonderful Quality Video in Full HD plus very good Still Images.The main advantages is that, it has a stereo microphone Input, a head phone out put, a cold shoe mount plus a flash for still images.The camera accepts threaded Tele & Wide angle lense attachment.These all features arranged in a nice 350 gram HD camcorder.Value for money.
