E.T. trailer: scary re-cut

Anyone else have people tell them E.T. is scary? I do. So here's a trailer recut as a sci-fi horror flick. The music is an original arrangement I put together.

I had dreams when I was little that I was trapped on E.T.'s planet and was surrounded by hundreds of the little things. Whenever I explain to people that this movie scares me, they immediately think I'm talking about the astronauts that invade the house, NOT TRUE!! Who else thinks its absolutely horrifying when "Michael" finds him in the forest laying there all pale and sick, and when he's in the bathroom reaching out for Eliot's mom. Also the music at the beginning when he gets left behind?

when i was a liitle kid my parent thought this would be a cute movie.. NOT! Scared me to death! I was scared that they were more of them and the other were evil! couldnt sleep for over a year! im still scared of this movie! the scariest part is when eliot first see's him in the field. BUT the part I hated the most was when he came back to life.. :(

Same here, age and everything, ha. Yeah, I saw this in early 1994 or so... was not prepared. I mean, I;ve always enjoyed it, but that first half hour is so unexpectedly dark and ominous, and honestly, E.T. already LOOKS fucking creepy, but he also ACTED scary too. Listen to him, he's growling, making gross 'squishing' sounds... it's genuinely disturbing. I think I only had 2 or 3 nightmares about E.T. as a kid, and none anymore, but it still manages to put a chill down my spine.
