  • "The first three records will change your life."

    Yes. Yes. Yes.

I've been saying that since 1975.

Thank you for Saying This for those of us who have lived and loved Bruce all of our lives.

Good luck on -your- journey, Brian.

  • The greatest hits was my first Bruce record that I bought at age 12. Had heard some of his bigger hits on the radio before that, but that was my first collection of his songs that I owned. Atlantic City still gives me chills to this day.

  • Sums up how i feel about music. Thank you Brian. Bless your soul

  • GAY....HEs not GOD...I just Od them....calculating genious.....shoot me....wtf is world to come ....19 years talking like , they can speak in "past"....like when i WAS a kid...... cmooooon roflol lolll lolllll

  • The 1st bruce record I listened to was his greatest hits. it was, and still is, my parents only bruce album. I personally have (in 1 form or another) all his E street band records up to 2007 - still need "the Promise" and "Working on a dream".

For me, it was the song "Born to Run", that hooked me - A kid of 16, about to leave school, and I listen to that. nearly 3 years down the line - still listening!

  • Super DILF

  • I'm from California, but I come from a lower-middle class family. My mom dated this one guy who's still a friend of mine and he's from Pennsylvania (allentown to be specific) and he love Bruce Springsteen and for the longest time I didn't get it then I heard Born to Run and Darkness on the Edge of Town and I got it. It was such liberation.

  • Hey, I was born there too. Same hospital I bet. Also, the very town Matt Damon and Ben Aflec had to get back to in Dogma.

  • @WriterRoss For me, it was 3 & 4. I listened to Born to Run (1975) and Darkness (1978) all of summer,1978. If there are better back-to-back records, I wouldn't know what they might be.

Then I saw him on back-to-back nights, 9/30 & 10/1/78, Fox Theater, Atlanta.

The best live rock that had ever been or ever could be.

I boarded This Train, not knowing that the ride of my life would last the rest of my life.

Ya don't need no ticket. Ya just get on board.

    The genius of Bruce Springsteen!

  • First 4 records were masterpieces, not first 3. Odd that Bruce did not win any major awards from the music industry back then considering the fact that he was so far beyond anything that was being produced.

  • @KOSMICKEN09 The tatoos are so unexpected when you see Brians face, but I really like them. I don't have a tatoo, but I am 56 and thinking I might get one!
